A Very Glittery Golden Semicolon 2009


In this year’s competition, MEDIA FACTORY dominated its category and won the first two awards.

MEDIA FACTORY's name appeared twice at the traditional Golden Semicolon ceremony organized by PR klub awarding best corporate publications. The awards for the first and the second place in the On-line Company Presentation category went to Hypoteční banka and Vodafone ČiliChili presentations.

The category includes only corporate websites and related on-line presentations such as the Corporate Social Responsibility, press releases etc. which are subject to more strict criteria than product or services presentations. Therefore the double success is even more valuable.

Hypoteční banka defended its last year's position. Meanwhile, the website went through a complete change: it is built on the new MEDIA FACTORY CMS, it was redesigned in compliance with the bank's general rejuvenated communication, underwent SEO optimization and a range of other modifications. The bank's continuous communication on the Internet proved to be a good strategy in the long run not only because of its business results.

Vodafone's website Čilichili, the winner of the glass sculpture, also follows up its previous achievements. ČiliChili ascended from the last year's second place and basks in the sunshine of its glory. The website also got a new design by MEDIA FACTORY last year based on previous experience with the old and successful one.

"Even though a semicolon is not a common punctuation mark in on-line media, the prize is a very pleasing award for a long-time co-operation on such significant projects of leading Czech companies. We respect our competitors' qualities and do not assume to win all the three awards next year but we will endeavour.
