You can plan your bike trip by visiting www.birell.cz now or you can both take the best Czech biker’s advice how to start biking or learn everything about the Czech Republic’s most favorite non-alcoholic beer.
Radegast Birell has launched a brand new interactive website www.birell.cz. The web is aimed not only at non-alcoholic beer connoisseurs but also, and primarily, at bikers. A website offering bike trail maps, biking video courses and other biking-related parts had been needed on the Czech Internet. Ironically, the website is not launched by a pro biking association nor a bike manufacturer but the most favorite domestic non-alcoholic beer brand co-operating with the MEDIA FACTORY agency.
„Radegast Birell has been supporting biking for several years and wants to keep on this activity into the future. We came with the idea of using biking as an inspiring basis when we reflected on a new website. We want to offer bikers a perfect service on our website plus extensive service and applications they cannot find anywhere else,“ says Vladimír Vaněk, the brand manager of Birell.
Fans of biking visiting the website will not only find standard marketing product information but they can plan their route according to their ideas, and even with regard to a weather forecast. „It is a unique function developed by MEDIA FACTORY and up-to-date data are provided by Meteopress. Updated and detailed info about bike trail weather cannot be found on any other website for bikers. Cyclists will certainly appreciate this service especially during these months when the weather is particularly uncertain“ explains Vaněk.
The route planner is unique due to its complex character and up-to-dateness. Even now you can find a database of all official 1st, 2nd, and 3rd class bike trails, trails in Prague and its vicinity as well as more than 100 bike trip hints. The database will be constantly filled in and extended. This will be done by bikers themselves who can add their own favourite routes and invite their friends to them. „The advanced map application is set to always provide the newest information. Thus the web visitors get a unique tool that can help them plan their bike trip with family or friends in no time,“ says Vladimír Vaněk.
Another important part of the web is a junior world cross country champion Jarda Kulhavý’s video school for bikers where he gives advice to amateur bikers how to go in for this more and more popular hobby in the best possible way. „When I started biking I didn’t know what to do, what was right and what was wrong. With this project, I would like to help new bikers to overcome initial troubles," Jaroslav Kulhavý introduced his biking school. All twelve episodes could be seen on www.kulhavy-birell.cz and now they will be placed at users’ disposal on the new Radegast Birell website. Newly, the visitors will be able to upload their own instructing videos to particular topics.
Information about drinking regime will be part of the website because Radegast Birell as a purely natural drink with 50% less calories in comparison with sweetened drinks is a completely equivalent part of an every-day drinking regime like water or herb tea.
Launching of the website goes hand in hand with a communication campaign and a competition for consumers. First 500 registered users will receive a bike map of their choice. Several attractive competitions for consumers also started on the website with possibility to win interesting biking-related prizes.
The new Radegast Birell web presentation by MEDIA FACTORY is a high point of design changes that Birell has taken since May. The web came after a new logo, name reduction, new packaging and a new “Stay in the game” catchword.
